Dooniverse for middle school students, importance of digital financial education

On March 31, 2022, Dunamu, a blockchain and fintech company, announced that it would be recruiting schools to participate in the ‘Douniverse’ program targeting middle schools by the 20th of next month. This time, we plan to expand the education target to the Chungcheong and Sejong regions and provide digital financial education to a total of 8,000 students. Duniverse is a compound word of Dunamu and Universe, and is a program that educates basic common sense about the core technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution and financial economy. Dunamu’s current employees reviewed the training materials based on their job experience to improve the completeness and expertise of the program.

Dunamu has been expanding its training targets and scope every year. Last year, the training target area was expanded from Gyeonggi-do to the metropolitan area (Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon), and the cumulative number of participants over the past two years reached about 12,000. Additionally, as a result of a survey of 1,125 Dooniverse participants from 2022 to 2023, 90.8% of participants expressed satisfaction. Additionally, 8 out of 10 participants responded that “their understanding of digital finance has improved,” proving the effect of fostering knowledge.

This year's Dooni Bus will be held for approximately 8,000 middle school students in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon, Sejong, and Chungcheong. Middle schools wishing to participate can submit the school name, number of classes, class size, desired schedule, etc. to the Kids & Future Foundation email (jtj@kidsfuture.or.kr) by the 20th of next month. Regarding this, CEO Dunamu said, “Digital financial education is an important field that requires attention from adolescence as it is directly related to various social issues such as financial accident prevention and income polarization,” and added, “I hope that Duniverse will become a place to foster talent that can deliver correct financial knowledge.” “I hope so,” he said.

Dunamu’s ‘Duniverse’ program is expected to continue to strive to improve future talent’s understanding of digital finance and raise awareness of social issues.
