Samseong Electronics is expanding its power infrastructure along with the construction of P5 plant in Pyeongtaek at a scale of 120 trillion won to respond to the rapidly increasing demand for semiconductors. This investment plan contains two objectives: strengthening domestic production capacity and simultaneously revitalizing local economy.
The plant will be located within Pyeongtaek city, and about 6,900 new jobs are expected locally. Thus it will secure a new production base beyond existing DRAM and memory product lineups. In particular, the construction of this plant is a strategic investment that focuses on expanding power infrastructure while strengthening supply networks in the region.
Samseong Electronics has already conducted numerous R&D to enhance its competitiveness in global semiconductor market. The P5 plant will be built based on it, aiming at establishing a production system that can increase demand and improve quality simultaneously. Also to invigorate local economy, it is expanding cooperation with local companies.
