SK Highnix announced on the 23rd through a press release that it has officially decided to halt the pre‑IPO (preliminary IPO) of its U.S. subsidiary “Sollydime” and the subsequent listing. This decision was made as the company felt the need to re‑examine due to recent market volatility and price movements.

Sollydime had intended to secure new production capacity in response to increasing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) memory, but it judged that its current facilities would not be able to absorb the rapidly growing demand. In this situation the company compared two options: direct investment and raising external capital through a public listing. However, with the recent decline of more than 50% from the peak price, uncertainty about whether an IPO would be most advantageous for SK Highnix and its existing shareholders has grown, leading to the decision to postpone the listing.

The postponement does not mean that Sollydime’s growth potential is gone; instead, the company plans to continuously seek other ways of capital acquisition to expand production capacity and strengthen competitiveness. It will consider various options and scales for a combination of direct investment and external capital raising, aiming at a strategy that can simultaneously raise the growth of Sollydime and the benefits of its existing shareholders.
