Singer Jang Beom-jun canceled his concert reservations early this year due to ticket scalping issues, but ended up performing using non-fungible token (NFT) tickets. Singer Jang Beom-jun of Modern Lion announced that NFT tickets for the ‘Hyundai Card Curated 92 Jang Beom-jun: Silent Rain Falling’ performance held at Hyundai Card Understage will be sold exclusively through the company’s NFT marketplace ‘KONKRIT’.

Jang Beom-Jun had canceled his reservation for this Hyundai Card Understage performance because he could not resolve the issue of scalping tickets. Accordingly, Beomjun Jang decided to sell NFT tickets in collaboration with Hyundai Card and Modern Lion. They will operate concert ticket reservations through communication, and this sale will be conducted through NFT.

NFT tickets for this performance will be sold through Concrete. Concrete utilizes blockchain technology to transparently disclose the owner and transaction records upon ticket issuance, and plans to block scalping transactions at the source by limiting the number of tickets purchased per person and controlling the NFT transfer function to prevent transfer and re-transaction.

Additionally, performance tickets will be sold to winners after the drawing. The lottery utilizes blockchain technology, and Modern Lion said, “The lottery is conducted using Chainlink’s VRF (Verifiable Randomness Function) solution,” adding, “This solution has the function of randomly generating verifiable random numbers on-chain. “We can guarantee the transparency of random recommendations,” he explained.

Applications will be held on the Concrete app from 2 PM on the 29th to 2 PM on the 31st, and the ticket price is 66,000 won, with a 20% discount available when paying with a Hyundai Card. A Modern Lion official said, “We have secured transparency in the process by using blockchain technology from ticket sales to the announcement of winners for this performance,” and added, “We will continue to accelerate technological innovation to create a healthy performance culture.”
