Sampoosan Industrial held the “2026 Sampoosan Technology Field Visit” event on June 6 using the S&I Center and its production plant in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province. The visit was a part of the semi‑annual external technology exchange program between the Korean Concrete Society Women’s Committee and the Korea Timber Engineering Society Women’s Technical Committee. It offered researchers and practitioners from academia an opportunity to experience the latest special concrete on site.
Participants included Chairman Hong Geon‑ho of the Korean Concrete Society, more than 20 professors and industry professionals, and the visit lasted about two hours.
The event involved a tour of the S&I Center and Hwaseong RemiCon·Moltal plants, followed by seminars that introduced the current state of research and development on special concrete VAP (Value Added Product) and Moltal technology. Team leader Yoon‑seop from Sampoosan’s Concrete S&I team explained in detail how the two products are integrated into actual production processes; participants asked questions about equipment and procedures at the plant. Three students from the Korean Concrete Society’s student committee also attended the visit and will publish their observations in the society’s journal.
A Sampoosan representative said, “It was meaningful to directly introduce our special concrete technology and research facilities to academic experts.” He added that the company plans to continue expanding academia‑industry collaboration, including external exchanges that provide safety and health education for local RemiCon companies and university students. Starting in 2024, Sampoosan has been conducting field visits for civil engineering students from Seoul National University and Hanyang University while simultaneously providing safety and occupational health training for local firms, further broadening the scope of academia‑industry cooperation.
