During the month of July, MinsaRang’s newly launched “Dongchimi Cold Noodle Broth” topped Kookbang’s Broth & Soup category with sales of about 110 000 units (based on a five‑pack basis). The product’s popularity is seen as an increase in demand for at‑home cold noodle preparation.

The broth uses domestically sourced grain and seven types of vegetables, fermented directly by Dongchimi to deliver a crisp flavor. It is designed as a straight‑type product that does not require seasoning. This item can also be used beyond cold noodles—for example, as a broth or in dishes such as Muesabal—boosting its desirability as a household food ingredient.

During the same period, “Sa‑gol Flavor Cold Noodle Broth” sold roughly 40 000 units (five‑pack basis) and placed third in Kookbang’s Broth & Soup category. Both products are engineered for convenient at‑home cooking.

A MinsaRang spokesperson said, “There has been a widespread increase in home consumption of cold noodles,” adding that the company intends to develop broths that complement noodles with a professional‑level taste while keeping them accessible to consumers.
