Samsung Electronics officially opened a newly established HVAC equipment plant in Pune, Maharashtra, India, on the 13th. The ceremony was attended by Vice President Kim Chol-gi (DA Business Division), Devid Doney, CEO of Flaket Group, and about 100 major customers, all of whom expressed their expectations for the production line and announced strengthened cooperation.
The plant in Pune complements Samsung’s existing Noida facility and will serve as a core manufacturing hub that supplies new HVAC solutions to the entire Asia‑Pacific region. Given the local characteristics, with data centers and industrial infrastructure rapidly expanding, the site is well positioned to significantly enhance water efficiency through proximity to abundant resources.
The plant covers an area of 13,826 m² (about 4,190 pyeong), integrating production lines, office space, and maintenance facilities. Samsung plans to complete the construction and equipment installation in early this year, expecting to finish the first batch within about six months. Once operational, it will be able to produce up to 6,500 HVAC units annually. Key products include Flaket Group’s flagship AHU (Air Handling Unit) tailored for data center operations, as well as FWU (Fan‑Powered Unit), CRAW (Computer Room Air‑Handling Equipment), and others.
Vice President Kim emphasized that the opening of the Pune production line is not only significant for India but also a major step toward expanding HVAC supply across Asia‑Pacific. He added that by combining Samsung’s platform technology with Flaket Group’s HVAC capabilities, they will deliver superior value to various customers including AI data centers.
