The domestic consumer goods market has shown a sharp upward trend in the 2026 second‑quarter actual results. Major retailers and ODM companies have demonstrated structural growth, with sales revenue and operating profit both expanding significantly compared to the same period last year.
According to the report, the combined sales of the three major domestic consumer goods and household product firms (Gagu, Gajeong, Jeongsan) increased 23%, while operating profit rose 93%. The increase in brand awareness and stronger price competitiveness are analyzed as key contributors to this growth. This export growth is interpreted as a result of improved product design and quality, together with higher efficiency of the domestic supply chain.
The quarterly results indicate that the ‘right‑to‑left, multi‑brand’ strategy has become central. Companies have raised brand value while focusing on ODM collaboration and supply‑chain management to minimize upward pressure from raw material costs. In addition, new product launches and expanded marketing investment increased consumer impulse buying, extending market consensus.
The report suggests that the companies’ strategic direction aligns with a ‘turnaround’ approach and is expected to sustain growth into the third quarter as well. Industry insiders said “brand awareness and ODM cooperation are core elements that continuously strengthen competitiveness in the domestic market.”
