Samsung E&A (hereafter referred to as Samsung E&A) is expected to increase its new business opportunities through the expansion of semiconductor manufacturing processes and the EPC projects in energy design and construction within the Middle East region. Researcher Lee Eun‑sang evaluates that “Samsung E&A’s new business prospects are expanding with the current and future growth of semiconductor production facilities” and has maintained a target price of ₩80,000 per share.
Researcher Yoon highlights that based on the planned expansion projects in Pyeongtaek, Gwangju, Yongin, Samsung E&A is likely to commence three new EPC projects next year. Together with these projects, an investment of about ₩10 trillion is anticipated, and annual earnings over ₩7 trillion are considered highly probable.
The current year is projected to have new business volume of ₩14 trillion – a 121% increase from the previous year – while the guideline forecasts that it will exceed ₩12 trillion. This analysis reflects the high competitiveness of the new projects in the Middle East region and the EPC capabilities of Korean companies.
Samsung E&A has previously handled major energy design and construction projects for countries such as Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain between 2010 and 2012, and is still actively working on related preparatory work in the same region. The researcher added that “the likelihood of confirming increased new business performance within this year is high” and expressed optimism about future expansion.
