Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix posted 2 % and 4 % gains respectively on the NEXTRADE pre‑market session, driving the overall flow of the market. As of 8:13 am that day, Samsung traded at ₩26,8500—up 7,000 ₩ (2.68 %) from the previous day—while SK Hynix was trading at ₩175,8000, up 70,000 ₩ (4.15 %) from its earlier level of ₩17,5800. The strong performance of these two stocks is linked to Nvidia’s earnings announcement and market expectations, reflected in the results showing a higher-than‑expected sales growth rate.

Nvidia fell 1.59 % on the open but after the close it announced that for the third quarter its adjusted revenue growth would be about 74 %, lower than the market’s expectation of 74.77 %. It also confirmed that it had dropped in after‑hours trading. In contrast, Nvidia projects a yearly sales growth of around 70 %—well above the market forecast of 45 %—based on current supply capacity; if additional supply is secured, even higher growth could be expected, giving a positive signal for the overall market.

At the same time, demand for memory companies has also risen. Micron and SK Hynix ADRs rose 3.59 % and 4.16 % respectively in after‑hours trading. In total, 562 stocks were up 2.09 % on the NEXTRADE pre‑market session, indicating that buying activity remains strong.

Overall, Nvidia’s earnings announcement and its higher-than‑expected growth outlook provide a positive signal for large-cap stocks such as Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. Investors are re‑examining their confidence in current supply chains and demand prospects in anticipation of future price swings.
