In a report dated December 12, the Korea Investment Securities Company (Korea Investor Securities) projected that EPAL’s share price would recover from uncertainty in currency fluctuations, maintaining its target price at ₩520,000. Compared with the close on the previous trading day (December 8), the stock has risen 39.97%.

Researcher Kim Myoung‑ju of the Investment Securities Research Institute stated that starting in the first quarter of this year, EPAL would partially convert some non‑operating costs into operating income following IFRS18 adoption; this would give the company a capacity to mitigate the impact of currency fluctuations on sales and operating income. He noted that at a time when estimating foreign‑exchange gains or losses was difficult, market concerns intensified, negatively affecting the share price.

Kim also remarked that while it is hard to predict third‑quarter results, looking at beauty‑and‑cosmetics sales data and product rankings within Amazon’s marketplace suggests that the adverse effect of currency movements may be partially offset. He added that the company’s projected operating income of ₩183 billion seems unlikely to fall below that level.

Particularly, Kim pointed out that Amazon had recorded a record number of EPAL products sold. “Since the Amazon Prime Day, EPAL has shown strong performance in the beauty‑and‑cosmetics category among major countries; although overall company results were modest, EPAL’s results appeared robust,” he evaluated. He added that the category most purchased during this Amazon Prime Day is also beauty‑and‑cosmetics, which signals a positive market signal.

This situation indicates that EPAL’s sales and operating income can recover from uncertainty caused by currency fluctuations, thereby increasing investor interest in its share price.
