Mistern Labs has recently restructured its organization through an internal personnel announcement. The former CEO of the company has been replaced by Kevin, and Eebun Cheong has taken on the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the new AI Agent Infra division. Under this new leadership, the division will collaborate with the existing technology team to aim for next‑generation artificial intelligence development.
The new division is responsible for building AI‑agent infrastructure that connects SUI and Walrus, a blockchain‑based protocol. The infra provides core functions such as data storage and accessibility, model learning, and weight management. In particular, Walrus is a data storage and accessibility protocol developed by Mistern Labs that enables efficient management of training data, model weights, and verification information for the learning process.
Eebun Cheong will carry out tasks related to AI‑agent construction via these two infra, thereby strengthening technical foundations within the company and expanding external partnerships. Alongside this, Mistern Labs has not disclosed concrete product or release schedules, nor outlined business models or profit plans.
According to media reports, the new division is expected to accelerate the business soon, with further details on its upcoming announcement. This organizational reorganization is interpreted as a strategic move for Mistern Labs to establish a leading position in AI and pursue continuous innovation.
