Seoul Station branch introduced “Ottugi Yetnal Japchae” and “Ottugi Yetnal Maekong Japchae,” which attracted strong interest among foreign tourists, capturing the ramen market with packaging that incorporated traditional Korean design. Lotte Mart・Super released these two flavors exclusively on the 2nd, offering “Ottugi Yetnal Japchae K‑Style Edition (4 pieces)” and “Ottugi Yetnal Maekong Japchae K‑Style Edition (4 pieces)” at JetaFlex Seoul Station branch. Both products, packaged with traditional Korean motifs, caught foreign customers' attention.

Sales analysis at the Seoul Station branch shows that from 2025 to October of this year, “Ottugi Yetnal Japchae” and “Ottugi Yetnal Maekong Japchae” ranked third and fifth respectively among all ramen products. In particular, “Ottugi Yetnal Japchae,” with its mild soy aroma and inclusion of ingredients such as bean sprouts, carrots, and green onions, is designed to be ready in five minutes, making it convenient for foreign tourists to eat quickly while also being easy to purchase. Conversely, “Ottugi Yetnal Maekong Japchae” enhances the flavor with a robust oiliness from sesame oil, establishing itself as a tasty ramen among foreigners.

Lotte Mart・Super analyzes foreign customers' tastes and shopping patterns, consistently strengthening its product line. For example, the “Paldor & Yangban Muiruk ramen,” launched in November 2024, held the top sales rank among ramen at ten specialty outlets including JetaFlex Seoul Station branch and Busan Gwangbok branch. On the 29th of last month, they additionally introduced “Ottugi Gulmyekuk ramen,” offering a product that incorporates winter spices such as chili pepper, bamboo shoots, and pumpkin, providing foreign customers with a new taste experience.

Iyeongju, MD of Lotte Mart・Super’s product team, said that “the popular Japchae among foreign customers has increased the value of ramen by incorporating traditional Korean design,” and added that they will continue to explore differentiated shopping content that allows experiencing both Korean taste and culture.
