Premium capsule coffee brand Nespresso is creating a new trend in the Korean market. This new product, chosen first among Asian countries, aims to deliver an experience that maximizes everyday consumer enjoyment, going beyond a simple coffee brewer. The new machine received great attention at a media day event held at Anderson's Cheonggye in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. At a roundtable attended by actor Kim Go-eun, who serves as the brand ambassador, and Nespresso Korea Representative Park Sung-yong, the innovative features of the product were introduced in detail. This unveiling became an important signal shot that revealed the brand's core strategy for this year and the changing trends in the domestic coffee market.

Recently, the domestic coffee market has shown explosive growth centered on the 2030 generation, and consumer preferences are becoming increasingly segmented. According to relevant market research results, 20s and 30s consumers drink an average of two cups a day, and most of them prefer iced coffee. In addition, sales of new-flavored products such as flavored coffee and decaf coffee have surged by more than 40% year over year, indicating intense enthusiasm among young people for a new coffee culture. Representative Park Sung-yong accurately grasped this trend and explained that Korean consumers have a strong tendency to actively seek out special experiences that suit themselves, going beyond simply drinking coffee.

Accordingly, this new product focuses on providing diverse experiences centered on the keyword 'Exploration.' The most noticeable feature is the dedicated button located at the top. Pressing this button completes the preheating in about 3 seconds, reducing time by about 60% compared to the 8 seconds of existing models. In addition, a separate mode has been installed to easily brew iced Americano or cafe latte. In the past, it was cumbersome to have to press the espresso button twice; this new feature solves that process with a single button, significantly improving ease of use. These features help users easily enjoy a rich variety of coffee recipes without complicated operations.

Nespresso views Korea as a key market in its global strategy, and this new product is being launched in Korea first among Asian regions. Representative Park emphasized that appointing only two global ambassadors, pop singer Dua Lipa and actress Kim Go-eun, also symbolizes the status of the Korean market. To expand consumer touchpoints, a 'Vittorio World' pop-up store will be operated in Seongsu-dong from the 24th until the 3rd of next month. In the two-story space, an event will be held where participants can collect stamps by completing missions themed 'Exploration' to receive reward coffees. Representative Park promised that by pressing the button once to experience various coffees and maximizing consumer enjoyment, they will support customers in discovering their own tastes and further strengthen their position as the number one player in the home cafe market.
