Newmont (a leading financial firm in Korea) recently unveiled its new trading platform, “Debasement Trade.” The system brings innovation to the existing digital asset trading methods and has drawn significant interest for domestic and international investors by offering more transparent and efficient buying and selling opportunities. Newmont had been researching the concept of “Debasement” since last year, and this launch practically implements that effort.

“Debasement Trade” is an automated system that allows users to buy and sell assets without intermediaries. Because intermediary institutions such as banks are not needed in the transaction process, trading speed increases dramatically. It also provides real‑time price movement information so investors can make timely judgments. Newmont expects this platform to improve efficiency by more than 30% compared with traditional buying and selling methods.

Analysis conducted by an economic research firm found that out of 28 analysts, 27 gave a positive assessment of “Debasement Trade.” Some of them said the system is set to create a new wave in the market and will greatly improve investors’ trading outcomes. On the other hand, cases of establishing investment strategies using data and analytical tools provided by Newmont are also increasing.
