This year's summer has arrived much earlier than usual, with extreme heat covering the entire country, differing from previous climate patterns. In response to this temperature rise, the water parks operated by Sono International have accelerated their plans and opened their outdoor facilities earlier than scheduled, preparing for the official vacation season to begin. Starting from the 25th, the outdoor zones at eight water parks scattered nationwide will open sequentially. The company plans to actively target vacation demand by operating various attractions where customers can cool off.

Ocean World, located in Hongcheon, Gangwon Province, will operate the Monster Blaster, a large water slide, alongside the opening of its outdoor zone on the 25th. This slide, reaching 300 meters in length, is the most popular facility among amusement rides and is gathering much anticipation from customers. Additionally, popular attractions such as the Super Boomerang with a steep 68-degree incline, Double Spin, and Double Tornado will also be put into operation. Ocean Adventure, located in Geose and Cheonan, and Ocean Play, located in Samcheok and Danyang, will also fully operate their outdoor facilities on the same day. However, Ocean Play Delphino, located in Yangyang and Beomsan, has its outdoor zone opening scheduled for the following month on the 1st.

To commemorate May as the Month of Families, Sono International has launched an Early Bird package available at all eight nationwide water parks. This "Gift of May" package includes one water park admission ticket and a 10% discount voucher for sunbeds, providing significant benefits to customers. Sold at prices up to 54% off the regular price, the package for Ocean World visitors also includes an admission ticket to the Samsaksan Lake Cable Car. This promotion is a strategy to expand opportunities for enjoying cool water activities in the hot weather and encourage visits from families.

A representative from Sono International explained that due to the early arrival of the heatwave compared to previous years, they have started operating popular attractions along with opening the outdoor zones to allow customers to enjoy comfortable water activities. This measure goes beyond simple facility opening and reflects a proactive response considering customer safety and satisfaction as top priorities, preparing for the period of intense heat. As the official vacation season begins, each water park plans to thoroughly manage safety and inspect facilities to deliver a joyful summer vacation to customers.
