After Samsung Electronics opened on the Korean stock market, its blockchain futures traded at a price 1.78 % higher than the closing price of the KOSPI index, according to a report. As of 8:30 a.m. on the 30th, Tokenpost PRO reported that Samsung’s futures contract settled at ₩277,357—over ₩272,500, the KOSPI close—an increase of ₩4,857. That same day other large‑cap names such as SK Hynix and Hyundai Motor also posted gains, with an average volatility of 1.33 %.

Samsung’s daily trading volume was about US$53.76 million, while its net position stood at US$2.66 million. Even though the market is not huge, small‑size trades can still move the price. Market participants can read whether buyers or sellers are more active and use that information to take advantage of the situation.

Blockchain futures have a bid‑to‑ask spread of 8.46 %, which means costs for both buying and selling positions. This pushes prices in the same direction as the market, producing an expectation of one side dominating the other.

In overseas semiconductor markets, six out of seven stocks that trade 24‑hourly posted gains. In particular Softbank moved up by +3.96 %, its largest move, indicating that the upside in domestic semiconductor names may reflect the overall trend rather than a single company’s performance.
