Samlip (Samlip Industries) is showcasing new products at this year's “Siar Pari 2026” to tap the global market. The exhibition opens on the 21st, and with the theme of K‑Design Alley, Samlip has arranged a venue for domestic and overseas buyers to directly introduce its products.

Samlip unveiled ‘Kimchi Hobbang’ and ‘BuriTo’, which reinterpret traditional kimchi and fermented rice porridge in a modern style. Kimchi Hobbang is made by adding kimchi into a half‑cooked batter, giving it a distinctive texture; BuriTo transforms the original fermented rice porridge into a new form served as a one‑handed (similar to ‘uddo’) dish. Both products use an “upcycling” process to produce rich flavor and crisp texture simultaneously.

Last year’s Samlip Hobbang recorded annual sales of 100 billion won, with about 6.9 billion units sold, exported to 22 countries including the United States, Canada, and Hong Kong. At this exhibition, Samlip showcased about 40 new products, including Hobbang and BuriTo. The products were selected for the “Siar Innovation Selection” program and received recognition for their innovation that aligns with global food industry demands for taste, texture, nutrition, and convenience.

Samlip will continue to present new flavors and technologies to domestic and overseas buyers, and plans to promote the product’s distinctiveness through the Siar Taste event held locally. The company’s president said this exhibition would be a key moment in conveying the charm of traditional cuisine to modern markets, and pledged to expand global distribution networks.
